,As wedding season winds down, I begin to reflect on how my business operated over the last few months and look for ways to improve for 2017. I am just coming away from the busiest wedding week I have had to date: 4 weddings in 8 days in 3 different cities in two provinces. Needless to say it was crazy! However, I managed to keep my cool because I know weeks like that are rare.
By only taking a small number of weddings each year I can get to know each and every couple I photograph. By developing a relationship with my clients, it allows me to photograph couples in a way that truly shows their connection and personality. Another benefit of only taking a few weddings a year is being able to deliver images very quickly! I mean ridiculously quick. This summer, most of my couples had their digital files within 7 days and albums and canvasses in under three weeks. When the industry standard is 6-8 weeks, I am pretty proud to be able to return images in such a timely manner. Keeping my numbers low helps me to achieve this. So what is my magic number for 2017? I am only going to be taking 10 weddings total and I have already booked a few. So if your big day is in 2017, contact me to reserve your date! And for fun, here are a few images I love from the last week of weddings.
