Taylor and Jordan's big day was put together pretty quickly! After their original venue in Jasper fell through a couple of months before the wedding, they scrambled to find another venue that would have the same rustic, mountain feeling to it. They fell in love with the Overlander Mountain Lodge just outside of Hinton, Alberta. Luckily enough, they were able to secure the location for their ceremony.
The day looked gloomy with rain falling on and off. However, the skies cleared just in time to have the ceremony outside on the picturesque patio at the Overlander. I was amazed watching the staff at the venue squeegee the patio and wipe every drop of rain off everything to make the ceremony perfect. Right after the ceremony, the skies opened up and it poured buckets. From a bride's standpoint, this is catastrophic. However, from a photographer's perspective, rain is amazeballs. Honestly, it was absolutely pouring rain. The rain looks simply magical in pictures! The reception couldn't have been more lovely: an intimate gathering of 50 friends and family. Pat's Catering knocked it out of the park with their delicious buffet. The homemade touches set the mood of a romantic, inviting wedding. The love these two share was so palpable and we felt honoured to witness the union! This wedding was also featured in MountainSide Bride. To read more about this wedding, you can view the post here.
